Intel Exploits Meltdown and Spectre- BEWARE!

Just a few days ago has been discovered that most Intel processors contain 2 exploits known as Meltdown and Spectre. Security engineers within Intel and all involved operating system’s community are working hard and under real pressure to provide patches to eliminate/mitigate the threat.

Meltdown and Spectre exploit critical vulnerabilities in modern processors. These hardware vulnerabilities allow programs to steal data which is currently processed on the computer. While programs are typically not permitted to read data from other programs, a malicious program can exploit Meltdown and Spectre to get hold of secrets stored in the memory of other running programs. This might include your passwords stored in a password manager or browser, your personal photos, emails, instant messages and even business-critical documents.

Meltdown and Spectre work on personal computers, mobile devices, and in the cloud. Depending on the cloud provider’s infrastructure, it might be possible to steal data from other customers.we will provide you with some references about what you need to know so far and how to fix this issues, depending on your Operating system:

An amazing article. It’s nice to read a quality blog post. Spectre and Meltdown are the names given to a trio of variations on a vulnerability that affects nearly every computer chip.
